Whole House Water Filtration Installation in DFW
Cities across the Dallas-Fort Worth area treat their tap water with chlorine, and it is still in the water when it reaches your house. A carbon tank on the main line takes it out before it gets to a single faucet, so the water your family drinks, cooks with and showers in tastes and smells like water again.

Your Whole House Water Filtration Installation
The installer confirms what your water needs and where the tank can go before anything is ordered. Here is what the installation covers.
The whole house carbon tank
A carbon tank sized to the house, carrying catalytic carbon. The chlorine in Dallas-Fort Worth tap water is chloramine, and ordinary carbon does not take it out.
Fitted on the main line
The tank fits on the line where water comes into the house, so every faucet and every shower runs through it rather than just the kitchen sink.
The drain line and the bypass
We run the drain and fit a bypass valve, so water keeps flowing through the house even with the equipment closed off.
Set up and tested
We set it for your water and run it on site before the job is called done.
Walked through with you
Before we go we take you round it and tell you what you actually need to remember.

Whole House Water Filtration Cost and Warranty
What a filtration install comes to depends on the size of the tank the house needs, how your plumbing is laid out, where the tank can go and how much water the household uses. You get the figure after the visit, in writing, and nothing is added to it later.
Most homes here take whole house filtration alongside a softener and reverse osmosis drinking water. That package runs $2,495 to $5,500 installed on city water, and the installation page sets out what is in it. Well water runs higher because it takes more equipment.
What the warranty covers
The whole house filtration tank carries a lifetime manufacturer warranty, for as long as it is yours. Labor is covered for the first year from the day it goes in. After the first year, a service visit is $80.

A softener and a carbon tank together
Two tanks side by side, the softener for the minerals and the carbon tank for the chlorine, with the brine tank alongside them.

A well water system
Well water takes more equipment. A sediment prefilter, two treatment tanks, the brine tank and the pressure tank, all on one wall.

Softener and brine tank on the main line
A single tank softener with its brine tank, set against the garage wall where the water line comes into the house.
Whole House Filtration Questions, Answered

Can you connect to my existing main line?
Yes. That is where the tank goes, on the line where water comes into the house. If your plumbing needs anything beyond that to take it, you hear about it on the visit and it is in the quote.
Where can the equipment be placed?
Usually on the garage wall, close to where the water line enters. The tank takes up roughly the footprint of a water heater. Where yours goes is settled with you on the visit, not on install day.
What access do you need on installation day?
A clear path to the main line and to a drain. Someone should be home so we can show you the system before we go.
