Water Treatment Co.Dallas-Fort Worth

Water Treatment Services in Allen, TX

Water you are glad to drink starts with a look at the house. We go through your Allen home, your plumbing and what you want changed, then install the softener, the whole house filtration and the reverse osmosis drinking water that suit it.

Selecting a Water Treatment Plan for Your Allen Home

We work out what your home needs by looking at it. What you have noticed at the tap, how many people are running showers and laundry, where there is room for a tank and how the plumbing is laid out all go into the answer.

Allen publishes its hardness at 200 ppm, which the U.S. Geological Survey calls very hard, and treats the water with chloramine. Those two figures are where the sizing starts, and the rest comes from your house. What you end up with is the setup for your home, not a package off a shelf.

PFAS in Allen water

Under the federal limits

Allen publishes its results for forever chemicals, and they sit under the federal limits. Your water comes from the North Texas Municipal Water District’s Wylie and Leonard plants.

Reverse osmosis takes forever chemicals out of the water your family drinks and cooks with. In Allen homes we fit the unit under the kitchen sink with its own tap on the counter, and the softener and whole house filtration tank take care of the rest of the house.

What is included

Allen Installation Scope, Setup and Handover

Every Allen install covers the same list of work.

1

Your equipment

Whichever of the three you are having put in: the water softener, the whole house filtration tank, the reverse osmosis drinking water unit.

2

The main line connection

The tanks tie into the line where water enters the house. That is usually the garage wall, and the pair of them take up roughly a water heater's worth of floor.

3

Drain line and bypass valve

The softener needs a drain, so we run one. We fit the bypass at the same time, so water keeps flowing through the house even with the equipment closed off.

4

The tap at the kitchen sink

Reverse osmosis lives in the cabinet under the sink. We fit its own tap on the sink deck and tie it into the cold line and the drain.

5

Dialing it in

The system gets set for your water, then tested. It does not become yours until it has run.

6

The handover

We walk the house with you at the end, point out each piece, and tell you the handful of things worth knowing about it.

What the warranty covers

The water softener and the whole house filtration tank carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty, for as long as they are yours. The reverse osmosis system carries a one year manufacturer warranty. Labor carries a one year warranty from the day it goes in. After the first year, a service visit is $80.

Allen Water Treatment Questions, Answered

How do you decide which system fits an Allen home?

On the visit. We look at your plumbing, the space you have, how much water the household goes through and what you want fixed, and the recommendation comes out of that. You get it in writing with the quote.

Does the Allen water report show forever chemicals in the water?

Yes. PFAS are man made chemicals that do not break down, which is why people call them forever chemicals. Allen publishes its results, and they sit under the federal limits. Reverse osmosis takes them out of the water your family drinks and cooks with.

What if the equipment in my house now was not yours?

Let us know what it is when you call and we will tell you what makes sense to do with it.
